How to use it

As a Core Interface

  • Eliminates the need for Groves, Perforations, or Scores
  • Improves Bond Strength Between Core and Laminate
  • Infused Weight: 648 g/sm (22.86 oz/sq yd)
  • Infused Thickness: 0.66 mm (0.026 in)
  • Fiber Content: 33 wt. %

Traditional Core Laminate

Fiber reinforcement is laid into a mold of the desired shape (1).  Core material (3) is placed between two layers of fiber reinforcement or lamina (2) to make up the laminate.  As is often the case the curvature of the mold shape (1) is such that voids (4) are formed between the outer skin (2a) and the core (3).

Core Laminate with PolybeamŽ

When PolybeamŽ (5) is placed between the outer skin (2a) and the core (3) the voids are replaced with reinforcement.
